The Bagel in Stowe

Great Bagels and Breakfast Sandwiches. Not a fan of their choice in coffee, was hoping for Vermont Artisan or at least Green Mountain. The Keurig style espresso machine seems a bit suburban for a mountain bagel shop. I will return for the bagels!

Great spot in Stowe for a fresh bagel and some coffee or juice before hitting the slopes or exploring Stowe. Opened early and plenty of parking for a quick stop. There is seating inside as well if you want to get a bagel and enjoy inside. Cinnamon sugar bagel was awesome and the breakfast sandwich was even better!

Good, fast place to grab some breakfast. The even have gluten free bagels - plain and everything. What a treat for gf folks!

It's a nice bagel shop with a great variety of breakfast sandwiches and spreads for your morning feast. Coffee was very good. We had sesame bagels with olive spread and the veggie spread the 2x we visited during our morning bike ride. Ample seating both indoors and out, we surely will stop in again for breakfast.

Bagels were small.. I got a New Yorker on a jalapeno cheddar and that was really good. My husband got a bacon egg and cheese on onion bagel, but they gave him plain instead (they use fake egg). There is a lady yelling all the orders when they are ready, which was a bit annoying and not as effective.

Good place for a quick breakfast on your way up to the mountain. Service is quick and the food is good.

I’ve been coming here for 15 years. I judge all bagels in the world off this place. They are the best, fresh, made on location bagels ever. Try the Stowe western.... delish.I wish they would update the building though. The insides getting a little too run down.

Things seem a little different since the business changed hands. The one thing that always bothers me is that the drink cooler is never fully stocked, and I have to ask the person behind the counter to get the drink I want. Other than that, this is a great, fairly cost effective place to grab a quick breakfast on the go in Stowe. They also have a sit down area inside, as well as outside during the warmer seasons.

Good food. Definitely a unique take on sandwiches. The staff needs to stop skimping on the cream cheese. They have a wide selection of bagels. They are always very tasty.

We enjoyed the New Yorker bagel sandwich with smoked salmon. Excellent choice. Great selection of bagels. Coffee is ok but nothing fancy. I would definitely recommend this place if your visiting the Stowe VT area.

Excellent bagel shop with an expansive menu and adequate seating. The bagels are solid with a wide variety of different toppings and drinks. The sitting area is a little dull but perfect for a quick bite in the morning. All the staff are friendly and the food was prepared quickly!

Overpriced and not great bagels

Good thing they open at 6:30 but sadly the bagels are more like small buns then bagels. All flavors are basically plain bagels with garniture on top....and I not even talking about the coffee...

This place is very clean and has hot tasty fresh bagels! Cozy place with tables inside and a few outside.the choice of bagels is very good and the spreads are deliscious. The only problem I find is if there is a line of people in the store, waiting can take some time because many people get lots of STUFF ON THEIR BAGELS. One suggestion would be to have one person do small orders including bagels to go. Thats called good coordination! The crew is pleasant and work hard.

Good place to grab breakfast. We had coffee, bagels and a breakfast sandwich. All were good. Would definitely go back.

Best bagel place in Vermont. I’m from New Jersey and if there is one thing to be proud of from there, it’s the pizza and bagels and let me tell you... never would I ever have thought that I would find an amazing bagel in the tiny town of stowe. But they exist and they exist at The Bagel. Everyone is friendly and service is fast! I have yet to be disappointed. 😁

Decent bagels, but they microwave their eggs and the bacon is pretty dry.

From the moment I walk in I am greeted with a warm smile and a friendly hello. Most of them address me by name ( normally still have my work name tag on) my sandwiches are always delish and I have never had a problem!

Great clean food at a reasonable price

The bagels are good, and they spread a thick layer of whatever topping on your bagel. The maple French roast coffee was amazing.

Not good food service...the owner is nice but some of the staff don't listen when you tell them how you would like your sandwich or bagel. NO GLUTEN FREE....if you area celiac stay away
